Google spreadsheets is a computerized spreadsheet program that one can use in a business environment, to tabulate and analyze information to arrive at decisions. So what do we need, to learn and profit by Google Spreadsheets ? As I told you earlier, it costs nothing to run this program but still needs the following as minimum system requirements:
Yourself. I mean your time,motivation to learn the program and apply it in your business related problems.
Any computer with an Internet connection and has either one of the following browser programs installed on it.
- Internet Explorer: 6.0 or higher
- Mozilla FireFox: 1.0.5 or higher
- Mozilla SeaMonkey: 1.0 or higher
All of these are FREE and easy to download and use.
Since you are here, I believe you already know what a browser program is, it is quite possible you are running either one of this program owing to their popularity and so I move on.
- A Google e-mail account. Popularly known as Gmail account. Gmail is Google’s free webmail service.
I think all of you may have an e-mail account, though not necessarily from Google and it would be presumptuous to ask if you have one. So it is more appropriate to ask if you have a Gmail account. Those who already have a Gmail account may please proceed to Starting Google Spreadsheet the next part of this lesson.
