Opening a Workbook

Often times you may want to open a workbook that is already created. This could be when you want to update the contents of the spreadsheet, say edit existing cell entries, add cell entries, or delete cell entries before saving them again. Or you could open them to print it or simply see it online for reference.

For this you may need to login to your Gmail Account and get access to your documents. (Please follow steps 1 to 5 in the part of the lesson titled Starting a Google Spreadsheet) If you have any Workbooks/Spreadsheets saved earlier, they get listed here under Active Docs & Spreadsheets.

For instance as of this writing, I have just two workbooks saved under the names toronto tuners and Ontime Autoparts Inc. – Sales 2006.

Suppose I want to open the workbook titled Online AutoParts Inc. – Sales 2006, I just have to click on the link titled by the same name in this window. Then the document opens as shown below and is ready for editing etc.
